The technologies to lower the cost and increase the efficiency of green hydrogen exist. Skeptics of green hydrogen critique it as a costly and inefficient decarbonization solution. But to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors, such as heavy industry, green hydrogen will play a critical role. So, how can we scale it without breaking the bank or the energy grid? To usher in the era of green hydrogen, we must produce it efficiently and use it wisely. The energy was electric at the prestigious REWE Final4 handball tournament for the DHB cup that took place in Cologne this past weekend!  Danfoss kicked off the sustainability partnership with the professional German handball league Handball-Bundesliga GmbH at the 2023 final tournament. In Cologne, together with customers, we witnessed thrilling games alongside 20,000 spectators. Congratulations to SC Magdeburg for winning this year’s Final4 tournament and also to our partner Flensburg Handewitt SG Flensburg-Handewitt for achieving the 3rd place. We are honored to have won the Trane Technologies 2023 Sustainability Supplier Award. Earlier this month Trane Technologies presented Danfoss with their Sustainability Supplier award recognizing outstanding commitment and engagement in support of Trane Technologies' sustainability journey. Danfoss joined Trane Technologies on the stage at their Supplier Conference in Davidson, North Carolina, to receive the prestigious award. “Danfoss is honored to be recognized by Trane Technologies for our performance and dedicated service,” said Stephen Gugliotta, Senior Vice President, Danfoss Global Accounts. “We know that to receive this award means that we are delivering on our promises as we collaborate with Trane Technologies in their endeavors to achieve their bold sustainability goals and commitments”. Trane Technologies have set science-based targets to achieve net-zero emissions across their value chain by 2050 and have pledged to reduce their customer’s carbon footprint by 1 gigaton by 2030 and Danfoss is meaningfully supporting their journey to make this happen. Today we have launched construction during a special groundbreaking ceremony to further expand our strong presence in China. Danfoss operates eight production and innovation facilities in Haiyan, and the new campus will be one of the biggest production sites in Danfoss’ history. Our solutions are highly relevant to the decarbonization plans of China and the new campus will help us capture the growth potential unleashed by China’s transition to a green, low-carbon economy.
