Dan and Ruth Wiedemeier launched Dan's Custom Landscapes in Ames in 1986 as a one-man lawn care business. Since then the company has grown to include full-service lawn care, landscaping, and a complete tree service. Our tree service is headed by Rex Johnson, certified Arborist Municipal Specialist, and provides a full selection of tree care services. In 2015 Dan's added a professional landscape designer to our team with the goal of improving customer service. Dan's Custom Landscapes has 10 full-time employees and hires 20-30 part-time seasonal employees.
