We're supporting the dream of homeownership for more people in our communities! American Family Insurance employees and agency owners – like Raymond Grim – are picking up hammers with Habitat for Humanity to build strong foundations for families across the communities where we live and work.

Dejanique Morris is a first-generation college student and mother of three. She's graduating with an Economics degree from The Ohio State University, thanks in large part to her personal strength and drive to dream. Along the way, Dejanique received support through the ACCESS Collaborative Program. She and other parenting students get help with childcare, housing, family engagement activities, mentoring, course scheduling, and emergency financial assistance. Talent and Inclusion Vice President Crystal Files attended the ACCESS graduation with her mom. It was homecoming for Crystal, who was part of this program when she attended OSU. "There are no stronger roots than the roots of a single mom," she said. "I want you to know that you should walk out of this space feeling confident that there is NOTHING in life that you can't accomplish." Through the American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact, we support this and other programs that close equity gaps in early childhood education and care, which is essential for businesses and communities to thrive. https://lnkd.in/gFaYdwSg

We’re growing that impact in 2024 with volunteer efforts in 30 different communities where we live and work.

Edgerton Community Outreach is a Wisconsin nonprofit combatting hunger and providing housing assistance to those in need. “We provide more than 600 meals per week through our school snack pack program, ensuring students have access to nutritious food even outside of school hours," says Alyssa Vis, director of programs. Proceeds from AmFam Championship – our PGA TOUR Champions event – provide ongoing support for this nonprofit and its youth hunger initiatives. Since 2016, AmFam Championship has raised more than $17 million for charity. This year's event is June 7-9, with live coverage on Golf Channel.
