Clay-Mations Studio offers fun and relaxed two-hour studio sessions and events to the Ames community, with our mission to make art more exciting and accessible. Instructor Sam Morrow welcomes all newcomers and teaches the basics of wheel throwing in a fun and friendly manner. Our Clay-Mations Studio space is kept cute, clean, and carefree! You do not have to be an artist to have fun at Clay-Mations; Sam guarantees that you will make a piece each time.

Services Provided: One Off Lessons, Team Building Events, Partys/Celebrations, Date Nights, Community Events, Artist Subscriptions, Private Lessons and some other art classes/camps. Products Provided: We have a art/gift shop featuring Ames and Iowa's local artist.

We have been in business starting Summer 2025 with our grand opening hopefully at the end of October. We are a business started through Iowa State University's Cystarters business accelerator program. Our teachers have their Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA) or our working towards their BFA, making them the best art teachers.
