AMES, Iowa- McFarland Clinic is pleased to announce that Saima Shahid, MD will join McFarland Clinic’s Family Medicine department on July 1 in our South Ames office located at 3500 University Boulevard in Ames. Dr. Shahid received her pre-medical degree from Kinnaird College in Pakistan. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan. Dr. Shahid completed her Family Medicine Residency at Mercy Mayo/Rochester Family Medicine Residency Program in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Shahid is a Board Certified physician who has been in practice for over 25 years with a profound interest in women’s health, geriatrics, pain management, and mental health. Dr. Shahid will provide services for multiple office procedures such as joint injections, IUD and Nexplanon insertions, trigger point shots, skin biopsies, wound care, toenail removal, and more. She will provide services for short-term illnesses, treatment of complex and long-term conditions, treatment of minor injuries, immunizations, physical exams for all ages, and preventative care.
