The Ames Jaycees are in desparate need of new members. We are facing the reality that our chapter will fold after this year if we do not recruit a number of new, active members. The Ames Jaycees take great pride in the projects that serve our community, including Ames on the Half Shell, Holiday Food Baskets, and the Great Ames Adventure Race (GAAR). These projects will not continue if our chapter is forced to fold. The Ames Jaycees will be holding a membership drive on Wednesday, March 1 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Sweet Caroline's party room, 316 Main Street. Food will be provided and those who attend will be entered into a drawing for gift cards at the end of the night! The Ames Jaycees are part of an international organization offering young people the opportunuty to learn project management skills, network with others, attend trainings at local, state, and national conferences, and develop their personal and professional skills, all while working to better the community we live in! Our annual membership dues are only $57.50, so if you are between the ages of 18-40, we would love to meet you. We believe that 'Service to humanity is the best work of life' We hope you will join us.
